Eco-warrior ...

Hey everyone!

Good to hear people are arriving safe and sound, find access to internet and have curious, interesting, fun, frustrating, exciting first experiences! Blog was a great idea, Hazel - thanks!

I'm having a laugh here, look at my house - it's great! Proud to say I've got a complementary compost toilet, and in the house running cold water, 2 solar powered lights, 2 gas rings and a highly in-efficient stove that I can use to try increase the room temperature from a constant 10 degree to around 12 haha! Have all the mods & cons in the main office building though :-)
Otherwise I find myself between cows, sheep, twitching birdies, lots of plants and apple trees of course, and a very friendly and open bunch of hippies and eco-warriors from many corners of the (mostly Western/Northern) world. Arrived a week ago and have been working in the gardens sofar. Was also at a staff meeting where I met nearly ALL of the 16 full-time staff (as opposed to UN heads & co hehe). Will start working partly in the office from tomorrow. Apparently I'm gonna work a good bit with their marketing person (Food Marketing hurray!!! to all the co-sufferers who took the module :-) ), she goes meditating 10min after every lunch (I call it digesting...). Coming weekend I'll help out at some Seed Conference thing.
Surrounded by nature, all organic food, eco-efficient houses, compost toilets, dirty people trying to clean themselves with Ecover products (but of course full of inner calm) etc., I'm expecting some training en route to becoming a professional eco-warrior!

Keep up the blogging, it's great to hear from the beloved classmates :-)

Ellen!!!! We miss you so much! Great house and a great read! Delighted you're getting on well. Do you have dreads yet? Lets skype soon. It already sounds like they've realised what a catch you are and are making the most of it. :)
